Course Details


The primary purpose of this RQF qualification is to support your progression to higher education, specifically to an LLB or BA degree course relating to law. The Level 3 Diploma in Law is a 60-credit qualification and is the equivalent level to an A-Level or Access to HE Qualification. It has been designed for learners who wish to progress to study a law degree but may not have the traditional entry qualifications usually required. Learners who complete this qualification can progress to study a variety of Bachelor’s Degrees at a university such as our partner universities. Learners must complete 4 mandatory units worth 60 credits to achieve the Level 3 Diploma in Law.

Entry Requirement

There are no formal requirements for specific prior qualifications or levels of attainment. However, if you have not already achieved a level 2 qualification in English and/or maths, you will normally be expected to take a GCSE or Level 2 Functional Skills qualification alongside this Diploma in order to support your progression to higher education.

Career Opportunity

Although the qualification is primarily intended to support your progression to higher education, the introductory skills, knowledge and understanding that you will gain would be of use in various job roles in a legal setting, such as legal secretary or administrator, including those offered through school/college-leaver traineeships or fast-track programmes.
